# TOKENOMICS

SHIFT is the governance token of the Shift DeFi protocol. The token has not yet been launched. Upon launch, it will enable holders to participate in key protocol governance decisions while rewarding active involvement in the ecosystem. 

The token design addresses a common limitation in DeFi — the lack of meaningful utility for governance tokens. SHIFT introduces a clear value flow from protocol revenue to participants, creating a more functional and aligned model.
