# How decisions are made — and who is accountable

Shift is built as an asset manager first and a DeFi platform second.

In decentralized finance, it is common for protocols to operate with minimal internal governance, informal decision-making, and loosely documented processes. That model may work for early-stage experimentation. It does not work for structured capital management.

Shift applies institutional governance standards to an on-chain environment.

Every strategy, allocation decision, and risk adjustment is governed by defined processes. Authority is distributed. Decisions are logged. Oversight is structured.

Capital is never deployed casually.
